Nation over Love

                                   Micro Tale- 3

"come before the moon" in her magnanimous voice as she knotted the badges under my shoulder from one and warmth the hand from the other
(I remained mute)
Gulped the air and shaded the sobs as I steeped out after wearing the metal Indian flag
*she wiped at the doorstep behind the back of unturned head*

                                Tips & Tricks

Firstly before scrolling down the treasure chest of tricks, I hope you have gone through the earlier two micro tales https://penandnotepad.blogspot.com/2019/01/revenge.html
so that it can help you to understand the following tricks better.

  1. Firstly, again as I've always said to have a moral/central theme which reflects aptly in your work. As I've made drawn a theme of selfless devotion of an army personal towards their nation.
  2. I'm assuming you have gone through earlier two tales and have started creating your own tales, so now you know its the time for you to upgrade your vocab. As I've used "magnanimous" to reflect the army man's wife passion & her utter love for him. Similarly words like "beatific voice", "bug eyed smile", "piquant voice" suiting with your story can be used to add details in it.
  3. To depict the scenario or gestures of a person, you can write them within parentheses. By doing this it helps you in saving your words. Yes should remember this thumb rule that micro tale should be within 60-70 words.
  4. Using metaphor not only reflects your voracious writing skills but also binds the readers in tickling their brain. As I've used "wore metal Indian flag" it reflect the army men has wore his helmet (yes that's why I used metal). Ok!
  5. Before you pen down your work, gain a decent information regarding describing your work. What I meant?I mean if you want to depict the police interrogation scene or on technical fields like a stagnated life of web developer etc. do a decent research regarding the domain of your content. This kind of research will help you to describe some fine details of your story in your work and this habit will make you stand out as compare to other writers.
  6. Also it is a keen idea to write a tale in such manner that leaves the reader to decode the hidden information of your work. Eg in this you will notice the day (in which the entire story is happening) can be Karvachodh (a typical Indian festival) as in this wife requests her army husband to come before the moon.
